Shopping

I did something this weekend that I hardly ever do...I went shopping! Ezinne and I went to Ross where I bought a lot of stuff at very cheap prices. I got a lot of cute skirts to bulk up my business casual wardrobe. After looking at the suggested packing list for Guyana, I decided I need more "work" clothes. I bought 4 skirts, 4 blouses, and khaki capris for work, and I got a calf length beige skirt and another pair of khaki capris for casual wear. I'm super proud of my purchases not to mention it was good bounding time for me and Ezinne. (We recently got in a fight and were kinda not talking to each other.)

You know, apparently, no matter where you are, there is no inappropriate place for a guy to hit on a girl. While we were at Ross, this dude asked Ezinne how old I was. Then he attempted to hit on me.
"Hey, how are you? Can I talk to you for a second?"
"Uhhh...I'm just really trying to do some shopping with my sister."
"Hey, I just want to talk. We can talk while you shop."
"[Sigh] Ok."
"What's your name?"
"Adannaa. And yours?"
"Niko. Are you from around here [The Woodlands]?"
"Actually, I'm from Huntsville. Are you from here?"
"No, I'm from Dallas."
"Oh, are you going to school here?"
"No. You know, I'm here training dogs."
"Oh, okay."
"Say, do you think I could get your number."
"Uhh...I'm actually going to be going overseas soon."
"That's okay, maybe we could catch a movie or something before you go."
"Uhhh...no...I don't think so."
"No? Okay. It was nice meeting you."
"Nice meeting you too, Niko."

I guess that's what I get for wanting to look cute that day. Oh, oh, wait...no I don't have to look cute for random guys to hit on me. On Thursday, at the gym, these two guys were trying to talk to me even though I had on my huge work shirt that is 3 sizes too big. I couldn't really understand what they were saying most of the time, and I was just wishing they would go away. They obviously had no chance in hell; not to mention, they reeked of stale smoke. BLAH!

Here are some tips to avoid creepy smelly guys from hitting on you:

1. Wear a ring on your wedding finger and flash them some bling when they approach.

2. Pretend to be foreign (speak Italian to them, hahaha)

3. Instead of being nice when they start a conversation with clear intentions, say "shove it" and proceed to walk away.

4. Introduce Ezinne as your 1st of many daughters

5. When asked for your phone number, say that you don't believe in "technology" and try to convince the man that phones will cause ear cancer

6. Respond with, "Did you know that I'm allergic to everything? Especially you." and then blow your nose loudly.

7. Girls are more attractive when they are ovulating...don't go out during this time.

8. The best method: stop looking good.
